On the last day of worship i.e. Ganesh Chatuthi the idol is taken out in a colourful and musical way to be immersed traditionally at a beach. This is one of the most popular festivals in the India. There are several reasons for this. Ganpati is a popular God and his blessings are invoked at most religious occasions as He is the one who can remove all obstacles to success.

Celebration-
The celebrations start before around ten days (from Bhadrapad Shudh Chaturthi to Ananta Chaturdashi). On the first day a clay idol of Lord Ganesha is installed in homes. Homes are decorated with flowers. Poojas are performed and bhajans are chanted. Often, families get together to celebrate the festival. Localities organize and arrange for pandals and install large idols of Lord Ganesha to celebrate the festival with friends and family. On the final day of the celebrations, the idol of Lord Ganesha is taken on the streets. People celebrate this day in the form of dancing and singing on the streets along with the idol. The idol is finally immersed in the river or sea. The day witnesses a large number of devotees expressing their happiness and offering their prayers.

Festival Dishes-

City Life Vs Village Life

Now a days, there is lot of difference between city life and village life. It is absolutely true that life in the village is and that in the city is varies so much.

In fact, people living in cities are different from people living in villages. we all think that city life is more enjoyable than village life. City life has lot of advantages. City life is provided with a lot of facilities. This is because of the fact that there are a number of opportunities in a city as compare to villages. People would not find many facilities and opportunities in a village. People would be happy to send their siblings/children  to cities for higher education rather than villages. A city has banks, Movie theaters, Parks, Golf courses, sports stadiums, clubs, Hostels and Shopping malls. City life is preferred for improved medical facilities, varieties of Schools and Colleges. The number of hospitals in a city and the facilities are more when compared to that in a village.

The behavior of people in a city is different from that of the people in a village. People in a city are generally unfriendly and they maintain far distant from others. On the other hand, people in villages are close and friendly. People in villages are very helpful in nature whereas people living in cities are more selfish in their nature. A city is characterized by various kinds of pollution such as noise pollution, visual pollution, air pollution and water pollution.

Advantages & Disadvantages:
City Life
  • City life is more comfortable.
  • There are more opportunities for people to progress in their lives.
  • There are a lot of facilities for people in the city and they have more opportunities for making money.
  • Children living in the city can get a good education, because there are better school in the town than in the village.
  • When a person falls ill there are good government and private hospital in the city to get treatment.
Village Life
  • People of the village live in unity and peace.
  • People have more friends in the community since it is small.
  • People always try to protect their traditional habits and culture.
  • The village has clean air and the environment is very beautiful.
  • The village has less noise and rush. So the pollution is less.
